The Lousy Golfer - Ongoing Reflections from the Fairways

A place to slow down, look at what happened, and turn a few observations into something useful.

The Framework

This is where I share additional lessons, observations, experiments, and occasional mistakes from my continuing golf journey. Some reflections begin as simple notes after a round, while others emerge from months of practice, equipment changes, or lessons learned the hard way.

The framework behind them is simple: pay attention to what happens, write down what works and what does not, look for patterns, and experiment before reaching conclusions. Over time, those observations can help us better understand our own game and build an approach that works for us.

Some of these reflections connect directly with ideas explored more fully in the book. Others simply remain part of the ongoing journey. Either way, my hope is that they encourage you to reflect on your own experiences, take notes, and continue building your own framework for improvement.

The reflections below are examples of that process in practice. They are not intended to provide universal answers, but perhaps they can help you ask better questions about your own game.

After all, golf is a game that never stops teaching us something new.
